Yoga Therapy

Vinyasa yoga allows you to move from one pose to the next creating a flow of energy, as you consciously breathe in and out while maintaining a focus on alignment.

Yin yoga focuses on working deep into the connective tissue to activate change while holding postures for 3-5-7 minutes. It is a great practice if you are feeling stuck or just need to let go.

Yin/Vin yoga is a combination of active and static poses, allowing you to bring the energies of yin/yang into the physical body. By stretching the connective tissue around the joints, you can create more mobility.

Thai Yoga Therapeutics

This is a form of bodywork that combines dynamic assisted stretching influenced by Yoga and physical compressions used along energy lines originated by Chinese Acupuncture and Ayurveda. TYT also uses energy work, correcting blockages, deficiencies, and imbalances in the flow of your Prana (life force). Together these actions result in a comprehensive full body treatment that relieves muscular tension, improves circulation, boosts the immune system, and balances the body energetically.

TYT is performed on a mat on the floor, the client is dressed in comfortable clothing allowing ease of movement and flexibility.

Trauma-Informed Yoga

Trauma refers to an event that overwhelms our ability to cope and respond. A person is traumatized when their nervous system is unable to come back into balance once the event is over.

The physical activity of this practice allows you to feel more comfortable in your body. Regulated breathing calms the parasympathetic nervous system. Practicing present awareness in the body can equilibrate the dissociative effects of trauma.

Trauma-Informed Yoga is an approach to creating a safe, supportive space in which students can learn emotional regulation skills through connection with the breath and increased body awareness.
